Ms. Sun Bio:
Founder of C&S Music School, registered music teacher of Ontario Canada. Ms. Sun started learning piano and violin with Yamaha Music at the age of 3.
Ms. Sun completed her Master in Flute Performance degree in 2013 from the University of Victoria, where she received Audrey St. Denys & M. E. Johnson Scholarships. Her Artist Diploma was completed at Vancouver Music Academy with bursaries and scholarships in 2011.
She received her Bachelor of Music from University of Ottawa under the direction of Camille Churchfield.
She has appeared in masterclasses with many distinguished artists such as Emmanuel Pahud, Robert Aitken, Mathieu Dufour, Michel Debost, and Peter Lloyd. While studying at University of Ottawa, she has performed with the Divertimento Orchestra and Ottawa Chamber Orchestra. In Vancouver she has performed with The Vancouver Music Academy Orchestra, The Vancouver Music Academy Opera Orchestra, The Pacific Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and The Capitano Flute Choir. She has performed with University of Victoria Orchestra and Sooke Philharmonic Orchestra in Victoria.
Ms. Sun was a Concerto competition Winner at University of Victoria in 2012. She was also a Provincial Finalist in the Ontario Kiwanis Music Festival in 2008.
Ms. Sun founded C&S Music Studio at Victoria in 2011. Between 2011 and 2017, she performed many recitals in Canada at solo concerts and chamber music concerts. She also travelled to Hong Kong and Taiwan for concerts and seminars.
Since 2013, Ms. Sun’s students have received awards of gold, silver, and bronze medals in many Canadian piano competitions. Her students have been very successful in Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) exams and have received exam marks of First Honours with Distinction.
Ms. Sun was the instructor of many Master classes and participated in artistic directive work in China and Hong Kong. She is also a certified Yamaha Music Educator since 2015.
